7 (1985)

Updated: Jul 4

7 is technically the sixth studio album but the seventh release overall, hence the title, by Christian singer -songwriter David Meece, released in 1985 on Myrrh Records. Six of the album's nine songs were released as singles to Christian radio in 1985 and 1986. The song "You Can Go" is taken from Johann Sebastian Bach's Two-Part Invention No. 13 in A Minor. Meece co-wrote the song with fellow Christian singer -songwriter Michael Card and songwriter Mike Hudson. Meece co-produced two songs with Greg Nelson, along with additional production by Brown Bannister, Jonathan David Brown, Skip Konte and Keith Thomas and songwriting contributions by Thomas, Morgan Cryar and Gloria Gaither. Twila Paris provides guest vocals on the song "The Unknown Soldier." 7 peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.
