A Room Full of Stories is the fifth studio album by Christian singer/songwriter/
guitarist Wes King. It was released on March 14, 1997 and is his only album on Sparrow Records. Wayne Kirkpatrick and Ben Wisch produced five tracks each.
After five years on Reunion Records, King made his fifth album on the Sparrow label for this release. A Room Full of Stories returns to the autobiographical,
experimental tone of his early material. The opening track, "Simplify," deals with the common habit of living a life filled with too many commitments. "Remember"
recalls the day when King answered an alter call. The poignant ballad "Thought You'd Be Here" is about a couple who are unable to produce a child and King sings a simple lullaby to the child that the husband and wife have long to have.
Those above mentioned songs were King's final Christian radio hits. A Room Full of Stories peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.
