Change the World (1985)

Updated: Oct 9

Change the World is the 19th release and 7th album by Dallas Holm & Praise. This is Holm's first album on Word Records' DaySpring label. It was released in the fall of 1985 and produced by Smitty Price and Neal Joseph. This is also the final album to feature his backing band Praise with Tim Johnson, Rick Crawford and Ric Norris. Future and subsequent albums will just feature Holm only, reverting back to his solo career.

Change the World's sound is more pop/adult contemporary especially featuring more keyboards and synthesizers. "Prayer Warriors" and "Mystified" were Christian radio hits. Holm wrote all the songs on the album. Guest artists include Wayne Watson and Marty McCall and Melodie Tunney of First Call, all providing backing vocals in addition to Praise and other studio musicians. Change the World peaked at number 25 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart in the spring of 1986. Holm's original label, Benson Records, reissued the album in 1993 on CD and it is currently out of print and is not available digitally. A YouTube link to listen to the album is posted below this article.
