Encore...For Future Generations is the 11th and final studio album by the Christian male vocal group 4Him. It was released on January 24, 2006 and their only album on INO Records (later Fair Trade) with distribution by Integrity and Sony Music. The album is a collection of the group's hit songs re-recorded including a near 11-minute medley of "The Message," "Measure of a Man," "A Man You Would Write About" and "Why" as well as a new track "Unity (We Stand)."
After the release of their 2003 album Visible, 4Him's future as a group was uncertain. After much thought and prayers, the group decided to part ways in 2004. Andy Chrisman and Mark Harris were the first two members to release solo albums. Chrisman's solo album was released that same year while Harris' solo album The Line Between the Two a year later. Solo songs by Chrisman and Harris plus Kirk Sullivan and Marty Magehee are included in this album. 4Him embarked on a farewell tour to promote Encore...to thank their fans and on September 23, 2006, they performed their final concert at Cottage Hill Baptist Church in Mobile, Alabama, the city where 4Him's 17-year journey first started. Encore...debuted and peaked at number 49 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.
