Everlasting Love is the second solo album by Christian gospel singer CeCe Winans, released on March 17, 1998 by Atlantic Records' Pioneer Music Group and Sparrow Records.
Prior to this album's release, CeCe collaborated with her friend and American R&B/Pop singer Whitney Houston on the track "Count on Me," taken from the 1995 motion picture soundtrack Waiting to Exhale (in which Houston co-starred in) and gave CeCe her only crossover appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 chart peaking into the Top 10 at number 8 in 1996.
Two years later, CeCe returns with her second solo album and this time decided to record a full-fledged urban R&B/soul album, enlisting an impressive array of guest artists, writers and producers -- including Keith Crouch, Tony Rich, Lauryn Hill, Diane Warren, Daryl Simmons and Tommy Sims. "Well, Alright" was released as the first single and music video to the mainstream R&B market while "What About You" was serviced to the Christian and gospel market. The album was ranked at number 51 by CCM Magazine in their 2001 book The 100 Greatest Albums in Christian Music.
Everlasting Love topped the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart while placing in the following Billboard album charts:
#2 Top Christian Albums
#35 Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums
#107 Billboard Top 200
The album was nominated for a Grammy for Best Contemporary Soul Gospel Album in 1999.
