First Christmas is the fifth studio and Christmas album by the Christian gospel music duo BeBe & CeCe Winans, released on October 25, 1993 by Sparrow and Capitol Records.
Their Christmas album is a mix of traditional Christmas songs and original songs. BeBe & CeCe also covers The Five Stairsteps 1970 hit "O-o-h Child" (#8 Hot 100, #14 R&B) with their parents and husband and wife gospel duo Mom & Pop Winans as guest vocalists. First Christmas also contains two previously released songs from other projects: "Silent Night, Holy Night" taken from the 1988 various artists album Christmas from Sparrow Records and "For Unto Us (A Child Is Born)" from the various artists album The New Young Messiah that was released the same year.
This album showcased BeBe's production skills and led to him doing production work with R&B superstar and family friend Whitney Houston on the soundtrack to her motion picture debut The Bodyguard as well as production and writing music for artists such as Gladys Knight, Bobby Brown, The Clark Sisters and his younger sisters Angie & Debbie Winans. First Christmas climbed up to number 12 on the Top Christian Albums, number 23 on the Top Gospel Albums, number 17 on the Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums and number 163 on the Top 200 Albums charts in Billboard magazine.
