Get Me Out of Hollywood (1973)

Get Me Out of Hollywood is the second studio album by Christian singer - songwriter Randy Stonehill. It was released in 1973 on Phillips Records. The album was produced by Jon Miller, Rod Edwards and Roger Hand with album photos taken by Larry Norman.

Get Me Out of Hollywood is a rare lost album, due to the fact that it was unreleased for more than 25 years. Stonehill recorded the album in London. It was an attempt to release it as a mainstream album. About ten pressings are rumored to exist. Norman got the rights to the album and reissued it on CD in 1999 on his Solid Rock label with the bonus track "Blind Minstrel." Two songs would later turn up on other Stonehill albums: "Puppet Strings" on Welcome to Paradise and "Jamey's Got the Blues" on The Sky is Falling, originally titled on this album as "Jamey's Blues." A YouTube link to listen to the album is posted below this article.
