Hymns: A Portrait of Christ is the eighth studio album by Christian singer Steve Green, released in the fall of 1992 by Sparrow Records. The album was produced by Greg Nelson, with orchestrated arrangements by David T. Clydesdale, Alan Moore and Ronn Huff. This recording features Green's interpretation of classic
church hymns with three tracks done in medleys. Green also released a companion gift book and a devotional video of all ten tracks on VHS. The album peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart in early 1993. In 1994, Green was nominated for a Dove Award for Inspirational Album of the Year.
