I Choose Joy is the eleventh studio album by Christian gospel singer Larnelle Harris, released in 1992 on Benson Records. The album is a change in sound as Harris incorporates R&B and pop adult contemporary sounds while still retaining his inspirational ballads. Harris wrote and co-wrote a majority of the album with the exception of the track "It's Only Thunder." Harris also released a video album on VHS I Choose Joy featuring six music videos. The album is produced by Lari Goss and Joe Hogue. I Choose Joy peaked at number 17 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart. Harris was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album and was nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year, Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year for the track "There Stands the Cost" and Long Form Music Video of the Year in 1993.
