Kingdom Seekers (1985)

Kingdom Seekers is the fourth studio album by Christian singer -songwriter Twila Paris. Released in 1985, it is her first album on the Star Song label, where she would remain there for the next decade.


Produced by Jonathan David Brown, the album features the first single "Runner" which Paris co-wrote with her sister Starla and would top the Christian AC chart for 9 weeks. The next singles "Lamb of God" and "He Is Exalted" are now being sung in churches worldwide used in worship settings.


CCM Magazine has given accolades for the album and songs. Kingdom Seekers is ranked at number 57 in their 2001 book The 100 Greatest Albums in Christian Music and two tracks made the list in the 2006 book The 100 Greatest Songs in Christian Music: "Runner" (#86) and "He Is Exalted (#66). The album peaked at number 13 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.
