Learning to Trust is the eighth studio album by Christian singer -songwriter David Meece. It was released in late 1989, but the radio singles started in 1990. This is also Meece's first album on Star Song Records, after being on Myrrh Records for more than ten years. It is considered Meece's most personal album to date and his very best. The opening section of the song "This Time" as well as the bridge and ending tag, is from Frédéric Chopin's "Étude Op. 10, No. 12" in C minor. Eight songs from Learning to Trust were released as singles to Christian radio in 1990 and 1991. While producer and songwriter Shane Keister produced "Interlude in B Minor" and "The Rest of My Life," Meece's long-time producer Brown Bannister produced the rest of the album. Learning to Trust climbed to number 7 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.
