Now Is The Time (2005)

Now Is The Time is the sixth and most recent studio album by the Christian R&B/gospel duo Anointed. It was released on April 5, 2005 by Sony Urban Music for the mainstream market and Integrity Gospel for the Christian/gospel market.

Now Is The Time continues the ultra-modern sound heard from their 2001 album If We Pray, but adding a more genuinely gospel element than they attained during their Word Records years of the 1990s. Siblings Da'dra and Steve Crawford were involved with this album, writing and producing themselves, along with Warryn Campbell and Mark Heimermann as co-producers. The album's only single "Gonna Lift Your Name" peaked in the Top 10 of Billboard's inaugural Gospel radio charts. The song is two versions: the regular album version and a remix version, which Campbell produced. The siblings cover of "Jesus is Lord" features the song's co-writer, contemporary gospel legend Andraé Crouch.

Now Is The Time peaked at number 12 on the Billboard Top Gospel Albums chart.

The duo was nominated for Urban Contemporary Album of the Year and Urban Recorded Song of the Year for the single "Gonna Lift Your Name" at the 2006 GMA Dove Awards. After the release of this album, the Crawford siblings would be serving as music worship leaders at Lakewood Church in Houston, Texas, taking a long hiatus from recording music. In the 2010s, they released a couple of stand-alone singles "Face to Face" and "Victorious" in 2012 and later, Steve and Da'dra have each released solo albums.

NOTE: the album's opening song "Mighty Long Way" is a different recording than the song also titled "Mighty Long Way" that is on Anointed's 1993 album Spiritual Love Affair.
