Once in a Lifetime is the ninth studio album by Christian singer -songwriter David Meece. Released in 1993, it is his second album on Star Song Records and his first in three years. Six of the nine tracks were released as radio singles in 1993 and 1994. Meece co-produced the album with Brian Tankersley. Meece's wife Deborah plays the viola on the song "Going Home" and co-wrote "Every Little Step" and the title song and Meece's daughter Kelly provides guest vocals on the song "My Father's Chair." A contemporary pop album mixing ballads and uptempo pop songs. Once in a Lifetime peaked at number 3 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.
