Pure Attraction is the fourth studio album by Christian singer - songwriter Kathy Troccoli, released on October 29, 1991 by Reunion Records.
It is Troccoli's first album of new material in five years and a return from her sabbatical. Troccoli's mother died of breast cancer before the release of Pure Attraction. It saw her moving slowly away from Christian music and into mainstream pop territory. The album is produced by Ric Wake. The third single and music video "Everything Changes," written by prolific pop songwriter Diane Warren, became Troccoli's first mainstream hit climbing to number 14 on the Hot 100 and number 6 on the AC charts in Billboard magazine in 1992. The song also did well on the Christian music charts. The mainstream follow-up single "You've Got a Way" peaked at number 7 on the Billboard AC chart and also did well on the Christian music charts. Troccoli covers the Stevie Wonder wedding song "You and I," from Wonder's 1972 album Talking Book.
Pure Attraction peaked at number 9 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart in 1992. In 1993, Troccoli earned a Dove Award nomination for Female Vocalist of the Year, her first since 1985.
