Soldiers Again is the second collaborative album by musicians and songwriters Dallas Holm, Tim Sheppard and Phil Johnson, known collectively as Holm, Sheppard, Johnson. It was released on October 23, 1989 by DaySpring/Word Records. The album was produced by Neal Joseph.
Released in between albums by the individuals, Holm, Sheppard and Johnson had to wait nearly eight years to collaborate on a second album since their first self-titled album was released in 1981. At the time, they were all under contract to Greentree Records (Benson Records subsidiary label) so there were no contractual issues to work out. They had to wait until 1989 to put out a second album, as along the way, they were under contract to different record companies (Holm was on Word Records, while Sheppard and Johnson were both on Benson) and this can cause insurmountable legal issues. In 1989, none of them were under a contract so they were able to record a follow up album.
Soldiers Again featured the Top 5 Christian AC hit "Feel Every Heartbeat." The title song also did well on Christian radio. The album is currently out of print and is not available digitally. A YouTube link to listen to the album is posted below this article.
