The Ballads of Bob Carlisle is a 1997 compilation album of the Christian rock band Allies featuring Bob Carlisle, released on Word Records. Released at the height of Carlisle's success with his hit title song and album Butterfly Kisses and just weeks after Sparrow released the single disc compilation Collection, this collection features 11 songs of ballads and slow songs when Carlisle was the lead singer of Allies, taken from their Word releases from 1987 to 1992. Also included is the Carlisle solo track "Teach Me How" from the 1987 various artists album Voices.
The Ballads of Bob Carlisle is currently out of print and is not available digitally.
I put together a playlist of the track listings on this collection when it was originally released. The only exception is the track "Can't Stop the River" from the Allies album The River. The track was listed at 9:06 because the instrumental intro was omitted at the beginning. In its place is the full-length 10:31 song with the intro intact.
