The Ministry Years 1980 - 1982, Volume 2 is the second of a two-volume posthumous compilation album series of Christian singer - songwriter Keith Green, released on October 3, 1988 by Sparrow Records. The 2 CD/2 cassette set is compiled and produced by Bill Maxwell.
Volume 2 covers the years 1980 to 1982 from his two Pretty Good label albums So You Wanna Go Back to Egypt and Songs for the Shepherd, as well as tracks from his posthumous albums The Prodigal Son and Jesus Commands Us to Go!, plus live recordings of "The Sheep and the Goats" and "Scripture Song Medley" from The Keith Green Collection and two previously unreleased tracks: "Cut the Devil Down" and Green's first vocal recording of "Summer Snow." The track was written by Green and his wife Melody and was later recorded by Matthew Ward of 2nd Chapter of Acts in his 1979 solo debut album Toward Eternity featuring Green at the piano.
Included is a 19-page booklet insert. Volume 2 was re-released in 1999 with a new cover patterned after the 1998 Songs of Keith Green CD series. The re-issue also includes a digital copy of the book No Compromise: The Life Story of Keith Green.
Volume 2 peaked at number 21 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart.
