The New Young Messiah is a compilation project album released on September 13, 1993 by Sparrow Records.
Norman Miller, who oversaw the original 1990 project Handel's Young Messiah, returns as executive producer along with multi-awarding winning singer Sandi Patty as co-executive producer and a participant in this updated version, once again modernizing Georg Friedrich Händel's classic oratorio and features the top CCM artists like Steven Curtis Chapman, Larnelle Harris, BeBe & CeCe Winans, First Call, Twila Paris and the London Session Orchestra among others. Production was done by Patty's producer Greg Nelson.
The New Young Messiah peaked at number 6 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart. A companion live concert video from the Young Messiah Tour was also released on VHS and was nominated for a Dove Award for Long Form Music Video of the Year.
