The Sky is Falling is the fourth studio album by Christian singer - songwriter Randy Stonehill. It was released in 1980 on Solid Rock Records. Larry Norman produced and arranged the album.
The album was recorded in 1977, just a year after the release of his critically-
acclaimed album Welcome to Paradise, when Stonehill wanted to record a follow-up album but was delayed buy a full three years. Norman was heavily involved in the making of The Sky is Falling, from producing to playing guitars.
During that time Stonehill and Norman had a falling out and decided to part ways professionally, so this will serve as the final album under Norman's
tutelage.
The album's highlights include a re-recording of "Jamey's Blues" as "Jamey's Got the Blues" (originally recorded for his 1973 album Get Me Out of Hollywood), "The Great American Cure," "Venezuela" and "Counterfeit King." In 1994, The Sky is Falling was reissued on CD featuring the European version with a different track listing than the American version. It contains alternate mixes of "Teen King" and
"Counterfeit King" and three bonus tracks. A YouTube link to listen to the albums is posted below this article.
