The Ultimate Underlying No Denying Motivation (also known as Motivation) is the debut studio album by Christian singer/songwriter/guitarist Wes King. It was released on August 8, 1990 by Reunion Records. The album was produced by musicians Gary Chapman and Jerry McPherson. Motivation is described as a pop album with an "acoustic groove" featuring some of his guitar playing skills. Prior to King's debut album, he wrote the track "Snakes In the Grass" for fellow Reunion label mate and friend Kim Hill on her 1989 release Talk About Life. Songs like "Power in His Name," "Break Away" and "Your Voice" were some of his early Christian radio hits. In 1991, King earned his first Dove Award nomination for New Artist of the Year.
