The Warrior Is A Child is the third studio album by Christian music singer -songwriter Twila Paris. Released in 1984 and produced by Jonathan David Brown, it would be her final album on Benson's Milk & Honey label.
Considered to be a breakthrough album, it features the title song as the lead single. It was Paris' first number one hit and it would stay at the top of the Christian AC/CHR radio chart for 18 weeks. It was ranked at number 48 on CCM Magazine's 2006 book The 100 Greatest Songs in Christian Music. The track "We Bow Down" has become a praise and worship standard, now being sung in churches worldwide used in worship settings.
Paris was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year, Inspirational Album of the Year for The Warrior Is A Child and Song of the Year for the title song. The Warrior Is A Child climbed to number 8 on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart making her first chart appearance.
