This Moment is the 14th studio album by Christian singer - songwriter Steven Curtis Chapman, released on October 23, 2007 by Sparrow Records. The album is produced by Chapman and Matt Bronleewe.
The album's highlight is the track "Cinderella." The song became an instant radio hit and signature song for Chapman. "Cinderella" was certified Gold in 2012 and Platinum in 2020 by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales of over 1 million downloads. Other Christian radio hits include "Yours" and "Miracle of the Moment."
The album topped the Top Christian Albums and peaked at number 47 on the Top 200 Albums charts in Billboard magazine. In 2009, "Cinderella" was nominated for Song of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year losing in both categories, however Chapman won two Dove Awards for Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year at the 40th GMA Dove Awards and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album.
In 2008, a Cinderella Edition of This Moment was released featuring three additional songs and an acoustic version of the single "Cinderella." This version gained notoriety for being released days after the death of Chapman's youngest daughter, Maria Sue, who was one of the inspirations behind the song. The studio claims that there were plans for this edition a month before the accident.
