To Extremes (1994)

To Extremes is the twelfth and final studio album by the Christian rock duo DeGarmo & Key. It was released on June 28, 1994 by ForeFront/Benson Records. D&K produced the album with John Hampton. To Extremes was released one full year after their previous album Heat. It Up. with a more rock emphasis. It has ZZ Top, Aerosmith and Bad Company influences on most of the tracks. Even though D&K covers The Rascals' 1968 hit "People Got to Be Free" (#1 Billboard Hot 100, #14 Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Songs), no songs have charted on either the Christian Rock or Christian CHR/AC charts.

To Extremes is the duo's final chart appearance on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart, peaking at number 30. D&K earned their seventh and final Grammy nomination for Best Rock Gospel Album in 1995. That same year, DeGarmo & Key had announced their break up. Both men would focus more behind-the-scenes as executive producers and run their ForeFront label featuring their acts like DC Talk and Geoff Moore & The Distance.
